The X6 generations we buy
The X6 created the coupe-SUV segment for 2009 on the X5's platform, as the E71 with six- and eight-cylinder power and an X6 M flagship. The second-generation F16 ran 2015–2019, and the third-generation G06 arrived for 2020 with updated styling, mild-hybrid six-cylinder power, and a twin-turbo V8 M60i and X6 M at the top. All are all-wheel drive with a sloping, hatchback-style roofline and four- or five-seat layouts.
We look for clean, well-kept X6s with lower miles — under 100,000 is ideal and under 150,000 the working ceiling for a European luxury SUV. State the engine clearly, and keep cooling, air-suspension, and transfer-case service records with the vehicle.
